Philbys at Bondi - Home Dinner Party Catering
Being a qualified caterer, I provide a catering service - cooking
for large groups. Below is a list of what I can provide. If you wish
to vary this, please feel free to discuss this with me. Please note
that I use Philbys Moroccan sauce/dressing in some of the dishes offered
below. The menu has been tried and tested. My purpose is to offer you,
the host/ess the opportunity to enjoy your own dinner party, function,
or whatever the occasion may be, without the stress of worrying about
the cooking side.
This is an excellent alternative to restaurant dining or buying takeaway.
Philbys Catering Menu is the solution to your “what’s for dinner tonight”
question. The menu is substantial, delicious, and can be adaptable to
your needs.
Ideal for:
*Family and/or friends who wish to get together one evening and have
a break from cooking.
*Dinner parties
*Uni/College students who wish to concentrate on studies and not have
to worry about spending time buying take away food or buying food and
cooking for them selves.
*Club functions

My fee is $50 per hour plus the cost of food.

For Your Ultimate Home Dining Experience
Seafood
Grilled Salmon Fillets - in a caramelised orange sauce served
with asparagus and minted parsley salad.
Grilled Salmon Fillets - in a toasted sesame seed and chilli
Beurre Blanc sauce served with asparagus and minted parsley salad.
Deep sea perch chermoulla - perch fillets marinated and oven
baked in a delicious Moroccan blend of herb and spices served on a bed
of Tunisian cous cous.
Lemon ling - parsley and lemon pan fried ling fillets served
on a layer of leek risotto.
Meat
Rare roast beef -served with a choice of a home made gravy
or red wine jus and accompanied with oven baked potato wedges, or mash
potatoes.
Pan fried fillet of beef - Quality cut - scotch fillet or eye
fillet cooked to your liking in a garlic butter, home made gravy, or
red wine jus and served with oven baked potato wedges or mash potatoes.
Osso bucco - Slow roast tender veal knuckle served in a vegetable
napolitana and accompanied with mash potatoes.
All of the above are accompanied with green vegetables and/or rice.
Chicken
Chicken drumsticks marinated in Philbys very own Moroccan
sweet and spicy sesame sauce. Oven baked until a golden brown and so
tender! Served with oven roasted potato wedges, or mash potatoes.
Lemon and thyme roasted whole chicken - individually cut up and
served with roasted potato wedges or mash potatoes.
Chicken breast schnitzel - coated in a combination of multi grained
bread crumb and parmesan cheese pan fried and topped with garlic, lemon
juice and fresh coriander. Served with mashed potatoes.
All of the above are accompanied with green vegetables and/or rice.
Salads
Moroccan avocado salad
Avocado slices marinated in Philbys very own Moroccan sweet and spicy
sesame dressing and then layered on a bed of chiffonnade lettuce, julienne
carrots, capsicum, and shallots.
Thai Chicken
Chicken breast pieces marinated in a delicious combination of chilli
oil, sesame oil, and Tamarind pulp and mixed in a lettuce base salad.
Tossed in a home made green onion and mustard mayonnaise dressing.
Chicken Pasta
Poached chicken pieces and thinly sliced, mixed with spiralli pasta,
shallots, and cherry tomatoes. Tossed in a home made mustard and mayonnaise
dressing.
Tunisian Cous Cous
Pan fried, coated in Moroccan spices, and steamed, served with nuts
and raisins.
Leafy garden salad
mixed with crispy angel pasta.
Tossed in Philbys Moroccan sweet and spicy sesame dressing.
Garden Salad
Lettuce and garden vegetables tossed in a freshly squeezed lemon vinaigrette
dressing.
Greek Salad
Garden salad with the addition of fresh herbs, olives, and fetta cheese
tossed in a freshly squeezed lemon vinaigrette dressing.
Tuna and Egg Salad
Garden salad with the addition of fresh herbs, tinned tuna, and sliced
hard boiled egg tossed in a freshly squeezed lemon vinaigrette dressing.
Hot Pasta
Beef Lasagne
Layered bolognaise sauce, béchamel sauce, and mozzarella cheese served
with fresh lasagne pasta sheets.
Chilli Concarne Lasagne
Chilli bolognaise sauce mixed with red kidney beans and made as per
beef lasagne.
Chicken, leek, and mushroom lasagne
Chicken pieces off the drumstick bone in a veloute sauce with leek and
mushroom- layered, béchamel sauce and served with fresh lasagne pasta
sheets.
Penne Maibaata
Boiled penne pasta served in a mushroom and asparagus veal veloute sauce.
Topped with mozzarella and/or grated parmesan cheese.
Penne Napolitana
Slow roast vegetable red wine and Napolitana and poured over penne pasta.
Topped with mozzarella and/or grated parmesan cheese.
